I have been reading a lot about the "Occupy" movement. People (including myself) are sick of big corporations running the government and want to make a change. I have also checked into the "self sufficiency" ideas and shopping locally. Another idea that has merit is taking your money out of the big banks and banking with a credit union. I am planning on changing banks soon. I think a lot of these small changes are good and if enough people do these things it will make a difference.
But the overall movement to make change needs to be more organized and cohesive. I sympathize with everyone who is out of work, but realistically, I am not going to risk losing my job. I wish I was in the position to chuck the corporate life and be self sufficient and fully support all these movements, but I am living paycheck to paycheck. How can these movements get people like me involved so we can effect change too? Maybe this is hypocritical, but I think a lot of people are like me, wanting change, but afraid of losing their jobs.

I lovvve Sunday. I just wish it didn't have the specter of Monday right behind it. Sunday is filled with possibilities. If it is nice outside, I could go to the pool, the shore, the park, have a bbq. If the weather isn't cooperating, there is the opportunity to cook and try new recipes or just veg out in front of the TV watching cooking or home improvement shows or a movie. Or read. Love it.
